The book is not a "how to" text but rather a series of chapters dealing with everyday probems faced by the experienced, as well as the beginning, fly fisher.The solutions are presented with humor and personal experiences that will provide easy reading. Chapter include "Picking Pockets and Rifling Riffles", "A Fly in the Water is Worth Dozens in the Bush", "Take me to your Leader" and "Gentlemen Prefer Dry Flies, Plumbers Fish Wet". Each Chapter ends with a "Troubleshooting" tip. The stories alone are worth the read, but all anglers, whether flyfisher or spin fisher, will gain some insight to improve his or her days on the water -- all while having a few chuckles. After all, with a century plus of experience, the authors learned not to take themselves too seriously.
