Kriya Yoga is the scientific path whereby one can realize the infinite Self. It consists of a progressive series of techniques which, when practiced correctly and faithfully, frees the individual from bondage to sensory and worldly attachments. Furthermore, it accelerates one's spiritual awareness so that the days are shortened before one comes face to face with the ultimate Self. Kriya Yoga was rediscovered by "the great yogi" of India, Yogiraj Sri Sri Shyama Charan Lahiri Mahasay. It was Mahamuni Babaji, the ageless and eternal yogi, who drew Lahiri Mahasay to Dunagiri Hill (Dronagiri Mountain) in the Himalayas and who revealed once again the authentic Kriya Yoga. Up to the present time, biographical information about Lahiri Mahasay has remained sketchy and incomplete. In order to fill in the details of his life, but more importantly to reaffirm the existence and power of Kriya Yoga, the higher Power (Mahamuni Babaji) inspired the author to reveal a much more complete biography of Lahiri Mahasay to the world community. This book was published under the title Lahiri Mahasay: the Father Kriya Yoga. In this revised third edition, the title is changed to Babaji: Vol. II with the subtitle Lahiri Mahasay - the Polestar of Kriya. Many more personal letters are included in this edition; while the detailed description of Kriya network is removed to the title Babaji: Vol. III.
